Three rural houses with a river, privacy and nature — just 30 minutes from Oviedo and Gijón

On an estate of almost 9 hectares, surrounded by woodland and next to a small stream, three independent houses are tucked away, designed for truly switching off without giving up comfort or good connections.

Here, there is no urban activity and no rush. The sound of the water, the paths among the trees and the calm rhythm of the surroundings set the pace.

The project was born from Lydia’s dream, who years ago brought this small retreat in the heart of nature to life. After a period of pause, the houses are now reopening in a new chapter, recovering their original essence: to offer a place where guests can rest without interruptions, read peacefully and reconnect with simple things.

Today, that spirit remains intact, with a renewed vision: a carefully looked-after, authentic space with no unnecessary artifices, designed for those who value the surroundings and the small details.

The houses share gardens and outdoor areas, but each one maintains complete independence and privacy. Crossing a small bridge over the stream, you reach the picnic area and the estate, where cows graze freely — an everyday scene that connects you with real rural life.

Just a few minutes away is Santa Cristina de Lena, and from here you can easily access mountain routes, horse-riding trails, the Carisa Route or La Mesa–La Cubilla Natural Park. It is an ideal base for exploring a more authentic, less crowded side of Asturias.

You can get around without a car if you prefer. In addition, Pola de Lena is just 5 minutes away by car, or 20 minutes on foot, with supermarkets, bars, restaurants and all essential services.
